Porche 904 Throwback based on 987 Boxster

The 904 is my all-time favorite Porsche. Check out this Tuned out throwback
with 987 underpinnings.

You want: Porsche P/904 Carrera - BBC Top Gear

It's kinda odd looking from some angles to me.

This is the 904-inspired car that I'd go for before that one:

Yes. The Infamous Beck 904. Been on the website a few times. The 904 is so rare. Saw a 904 being auctioned on some show for well over a $ Million.

sweet. i'd been thinking about this as well. there's a guy in canada selling FG 904 body parts. i was thinking grabbing suspension, etc., from a wrecked 986 and bolting it to a custom tube frame sized to the 904 body. wouldn't use the m9* engine, though ...

Looks fantastic! Why start with a 987 & retrofiy the interior when you can start with a 986. I guess when you are going to "invest" $100K in it you want something newer to start with.

Someone on the POC (SoCal) has one of the Beck904 kits fitted with a very nice engine, I would love to have one of these..!

There is a real 904 here in Cincinnati, the owner I believe lives in Northern KY somewhere. The car is occasionally at Metal Kraft for work which is in the same building as my shop. Amazing car and there is nothing like the real thing. I think he has had the car at Porsches to Oxford a couple of times.
Here is a pic of the car at our local dealer. It was there for a show also. It is about half way down the page.

Amschnellsten, all of them on that page are amazing. Wish that GT wasn't yellow.

Dude, that 904 gave me a pants tent.

Loved that 718 spyder too. Kinda reminds me of our cars a bit.

it makes me drool every time I see the 904. All I have been able to do is sit in the car and pretend I am driving but just the pedal linkages are amazing.

Here is another photo (not mine) of a car that was a tribute to another but still basically a boxster. This car is called the Dean and was built by the shop near mine, this is the same shop that the 904 frequents.

I feel the same on the Dean, The amount of work that was put in the car is very impressive and it does show a little better in real life though. Although I am not a huge fan the car does have a big following and was shipped to Porsche HQ for some time. The headlights are E-class which were done very well. The metal work is flawless and I can appreciate the work done to the fuel tank. The main thing i like are the ruff wheels but i think they would look much better on my car...

Agree with everything you said. Alot of work obviously went into it. I just don't
like the look of it. From what I can see I bet the interior is pretty sweet.
