Help please. Need part # for red clip from ps return line

Hi, as the title suggests, does anyone know the part # for the red retaining clip for the power steering return line that attaches to the power steering pump/reservoir?

I have been dealing with Suncoast Porsche for the past 2-3 weeks, they sent me a new return line, but cannot figure out which "red" clip is needed...argh!

That's the same diagram Suncoast referred me to...as you can see the return line entering the pump/reservoir assembly, but without the clips.

I remember reading a thread about ps pump replacement and this member mentioned that red clip. Maybe I need to contact him.

This is becoming a pita :ah:

In the parts list on the right hand side of the diagram there is a part listed just after #8 that is listed as
"999 230 578 40 - circlip for threaded joint". Could this be the correct clip. There is no part number 8 shown on the diagram, but if you follow the numbers 5,6,7 on the return line, this seems to be the next logical part on the line. It is listed as $1.00 so there is not a lot of risk if it isn't the right clip.

I think we caught that also, but the key word there is " threaded joint" where clearly the return line joint to the ps pump assembly is not threaded.
