I am quite interested in this as a replacement for my Range Rover. I won't make any judgement until I see it in person and drive it. I was actually looking forward to the "Cajun" as the name of the model..."Macan" does absolutely nothing for me. There will be a host of "Mac" nicknames, I just hope it is not MacLemon or MacUgly.

While disappointing (does the world really need another luxury SUV?), its no surprise that Porsche would create a smaller model after the sales success of the Cayenne.

And yeah, Macan is a weird name.

I just saw the Land Rover Evoque for the first time in person yesterday and was quite underwhelmed. The reason I mention this is the Macan will undoubtedly be compared to it at every turn. The auto press was far kinder to the Posh Spice designed Evoque than I would have been, I thought it was nice for a Mazda but no Land Rover.

I hope Porsche nails this one.
