Tired of your plastic roll bar inserts rattling or popping out?

Here's a quick fix I did over the weekend.

Tools: XActo knife or equivalent.
Parts: Electrical tape.

All mods are done to the insert, nothing goes on the roll bars.

1) Take the electrical tape and run it all the way along the track that slips inside the roll bar. Line it up with the outside edge. If your tape is wider than the track, it will mold to go up the inside a little.
2) There are two bumps on the track you just put the tape on. Take two small pieces of tape and put them on the bump, one at a time lining it up with the outside of the track. Do the same thing on the other bump.
3) There are three "clips" that hold the insert in the roll bar. Each clip is supposed to have a small piece of rubber glued to it. Mine was missing one of these rubber pieces on one insert and two rubber pieces on the other. Put some small pieces of tape all the way down the clip to the wall that is at the base of the clip. Put 4 pieces on if the original rubber piece is in tact, one on top of the other. Put 6 pieces on if the original rubber piece is missing. Take the XActo and trim the tape along the edge of the clip.

Now go pop it in and it should feel tighter so it won't move when you're driving causing that rattling sound. It should hold better too since some people have had trouble with them popping out.

Enjoy the silence!
