Day Trip
Sharing my adventure today… My wife and I took the Boxster up the coast to Moro Bay and Ragged Point. We go to these locations quite often (less than an hour away); it’s one of our favorite weekend things to do. The weather was great, about 67 degrees, sunshine, no jackets required.
Our first stop was Moro Bay for lunch. I highly recommend the Flying Dutchman, its located right on the harbor (great view) they make great Mahi Mahi tacos and have a Honey Blonde Ale that really hits the spot.

Highway 1
After lunch we jumped back onto Highway 1 and cruised north to some of my favorite driving.

Yea... Sure.

How fast??

Hold On!

At this point my wife told me to slow down... She was dizzy.

San Simeon
On our way back home we stopped to see the Elephant Seals near San Simeon. The seals migrate to this part of the left coast December thru January.
For fellow Porsche owners in the Great White North, wish you could be here.

Looks like a nice drive. We enjoyed a good drive here in Houston today as well but my drive with the top down was to the grocery store. Thanks for sharing.

Did the BBQ look anything like this (my backyard Santa Maria style BBQ pit)?

Knock it off..... it's snowing here again today. I was out in it long enough to have my new Mich. A/S Plus tires installed - so I could drive home in it. However, tri-tip is always welcome on the back-yard bar-b. Nice pictures, I used to drive that (and beyond) when I lived in Santa Barbara.

It's been a long time since I've had the pleasure of driving that stretch of the coast. Took my girlfriend from college to Lake Tahoe and then to San Simeon one summer before we had to go back to school. She had never been to California before. Brings back a lot of memories of visiting the relatives in the Bay area. The drive back home up the coast was always the most fun part. I need to do the drive one more time for the fun of it.
Thanks for pics.

I don’t know about a missing seal but definitely two or three of those “Happy Cows from California” are gone.
