Now we should start a thread with geographic location to see where everyone is from!!
p.s. I didn't include myself as I am technically not a Boxter owner; YET. I'm waiting for my financing to go through.

11 pilots! There has to be more. Driving these cars is just as thrilling as flying; to a degree. I flew F-18s in the Navy and now I fly an older Israeli jet (F-21 Kfir) and also a a really old British Fighter (Mk-58 Hawker Hunter). At times, I have the same reaction climbing into my '04 S as I do when I strap into the Kfir. Love these cars but more importantly I love this Forum and the people who are a part of it. Merry Christmas all!

57 year old professional auto enthusiast. I have worked at a dozen or so automotive companies, 4 tire stores, Shelby, Saleen, & then 3 companies in the automotive press fleet management industry, the 1st of which had the Porsche account!!
I never liked Porsche's because they were so slow at drag racing. (I made a little money street racing in my younger years.) So I got a job as a test driver for the company that had the Porsche account along with most of the other brands in 2000 MY.
Driving the 1st 996 I had ever been close to completely changed my mind about Porsche
When the new Boxster 'S' arrived it was love at 1st drive. Overall I loved the job. I delivered cars to celebrities for Jaguar & I couldn't wait for weekends to end so I could get back to "work". Management change made me want to quit so I did & started working on cars in my garage & eventually started rebuilding M96 engines starting with my own 3.6.

50, mechanical engineer. I've worked for 28 years as a product development engineer for one of the large domestic auto manufacturers.
2008 Boxster S RS60 Spyder, 71k miles, purchased this summer. It's my 2nd Porsche; I had a 1987 944 n/a that I bought from a coworker in 2002 and kept for about 10 years.

77 (in 2024) retired. Have worked off and on in computers from the time of punched cards. Done production work in factories producing aircraft engines, electric consumer products, metal fabrication and garment. I retired as a ACMT (Apple certified Macintosh technician). Since retirement I have become a SCPT (Self certified Porsche technician).
I have looked over the last few years of this thread and recognise some names of currently active contributors... it is interesting to know a bit more about who we are exchanging with. We should put these mini-biographies in our "User CP"s. I often check out the User CP of forum members to get an idea of who they are.

66. I'm pastor of a small church. One of the members calls me "the faster Pastor". The pastor two before me had a beautiful green 356. We joke that Porsche is the official car for pastors at our church.

Love the idea that pastors drive Porsche. Seems to be completely impossible over here in Germany.
