I’m a tall thin 70 year old beauty with a short fat bald husband. I’ve had a Miata for the past 18 years and motorcycles before that. So I figured it was time for me to buy a sedan and settle down, what I didn’t figure on was that while in search of a sedan my coming across a Boxster and falling in love. A Porsche of all things, people around here drive pickup trucks, LoL. I guess that the sedan will have to wait a few more years.

63, retired Industrial Arts Teacher. Owned my 03 S since 05 and have been interested in a Porsche ever since my Dads friend would leave his red 58 Speedster at our house during business trips. I would play in it going through the gears pretending to drive. What a great car, glad I didn't hurt it.

45, computer engineer, working in IT and Finance for Toyota Finance in Norway.

4 kids (2-18 yo), got a 7 seater Toyota Avensis Verso Diesel, and a Miata NA in addition to my 97 Boxster Tip.

The 986 is my Third Porsche, recently it replaced an '81 91 SC, which replaced an '86 944 NA.

Fun fact - both the Boxster and the Miata are black, has hardtops and tan interiors! My oldest son is the one using the Miata.

Age, car and career

Hello. I am 64 years old. I run 6 miles per day every day and I feel great. I've owned 4 356s and now own my 02 Triple Black Boxster - which is the finest car I have ever owned. I spent most of my career in the auto industry, but I am also an attorney. This is such a great forum. Thanks to you all.

I'm kind of a private person, so I've been avoiding this thread, but....very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year-old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet.

My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon. Luge lessons. When I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard, really. At the age of twelve, I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum. It's breathtaking. I suggest you try it.

At the age of 58, I bought my first Boxster. And, well, here I am.
