Interesting - the forum seems to be mostly made up of engineering blokes in their 50's. No wonder it's such a great place!

31, Healthcare compliance. I bought my 06 S in '08 when I worked as an editor in publishing.

I've always been obsessed with cars and especially Porsche for as long as I can remember. Bixby is my second Porsche of three, though i recently sold my Cayenne in an attempt to "grow up" (I've owned almost 20 cars and trucks).

I'm hoping a 2.5 is in my near future; I've ALWAYS wanted to get into racing... I figure, I'm just not getting any younger. :o

Sweet man Ill hopefully be done by 2014 how about you. Apparently engineers are drawn towards the boxsters, which is good news, lets us know that most of the technical advice we get is coming from a good background.

986_c6 01-02-2012 09:19 PM

Wow...a lot of analyzers thus far in this group. And judging by the tech know-hows/instructions, I am very lucky to be a part of this forum.

Although I am to admit my OCD nature also...38 yo, bought Box new in 02, Dentist.

It helps that my wife is a doctor also. Life is good!

My first Porsche was an 01S I bought in 2005. Traded it in on my 08S LE exactly 4 yrs ago. Added the Cayman last March. I also own a 79 Mustang Pace Car - bought it when it was 3 mo old (31 yrs ago). Guess I have to include the 02 Audi TT roadster that I currently own but it's a car I plan to flip / sell.

My first car was a 70 Mustang Mach 1. It was well used by the time I owned it, but it was fun.

I'm 47 and I own a tube bending & fabrication shop; I build roll cages, headers and exhausts. I also help as a tech inspector for Rocky Mountain Region-PCA and NASA. Before opening my fabrication shop, I worked in risk management and was a management consultant for a large accounting and consulting firm.

I've always loved Porsches, ever since my younger days of working on and racing VWs in Southern California. I've worked on cages and exhausts for lots of Porsches, but only recently became an owner - in October, my wife Jen and I flew out to Cali, bought my sister's Boxster, and then drove it home to Colorado over the weekend. What a fun way to get to know a car!

I also have a pair of junior dragsters that my kids race, a '62 Cadillac, '00 Mustang GT that I used to race, and a '79 911SC project that is trying to decide what it wants to be when it grows up. :)

Bought my first boxster @ 23 .. a 2000 S with about 40k miles .. wrecked it @ 25. Looked around long and hard for another ride but couldn't find anything I liked more .. so I bought another one. =)

A 2001 S w/ 52k miles currently.

My jobs lets me telecommute so I have to actually make an effort to put about 5-6k miles / year on her. Planning to keep her until I get my dream car .. the Ariel Atom 300 =D
