99 Boxster.

99Boxster: Third Gear doing about 50mph in a tight turn when I noticed white smoke from the exhaust got a little scared shifted to fourth and the smoke was gone.Checked every gear there after and even tried to simulate the situation again and nothing. The car operated perfect all the way home.no loss of power,no indicator lights no burning oil smell as well.Does anyone have any ideas what that might have been?

Might be an early warning from your AOS. If you do a search of the forum you will find all kinds of info on diagnosing AOS issues. Post back if you can't find what you're looking for.

... an occasional puff (or cloud) of smoke during startup is relatively normal in these cars, but not while you're driving.
That means that excessive oil is passing into the intake plenums and the Air/Oil Separator should be replaced ASAP.
I saw an oil-hydrolocked engine a few months back. Not a pretty sight.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

Don't tell him that. It's not true. I don't know what the issue is, but if it spit enough smoke to see it while you were driving, it merits investigation.
