New Boxster Fan - Boxster S Options

I am really leaning towards an '03 Boxster S. Please help me out with what options are available and what you think are most useful. From my limited knowledge, this is what I think I am interested in.

PSM
18" Wheels
Xenon lights
Power Seats
Heated Seats
Memory Seats
What is sport package?

Is traction control part of PSM? One stops rear wheels from spinning whereas the other will stop your car from losing control from what I understand. Do you think PSM is a good option. Also if a car doesn't come with PSM, is it hard and expensive to install?

Are these standard?
Anti-lock brakes
Side Airbags

Please let me know if you have the answers,

Kan-O-Z

Would anyone be willing to help me out here? My main question is this (from my original post):

Is traction control part of PSM? One stops rear wheels from spinning whereas the other will stop your car from losing control from what I understand. Do you think PSM is a good option. Also if a car doesn't come with PSM, is it hard and expensive to install?

Thanks,

Yes, PSM is a component of traction control.

http://www.986faq.com will hwlp you with what options comprise the sport package.

As for which options you should get... It's really a personal choice. I would say if Xenon headlights are important than find a car that has them, because they're well over $1000 to retrofit. For me, heated seats would be a must if I had to go shopping again for a Boxster - they really extend the useful season for top-down driving.

If your car doesn't come with PSM forget about it.

ABS and side airbags are standard as far as I know.

I am looking at buying a used Boxster. How can you tell if there is a trip computer? Is this an option?

Lightbulb My suggestions

The options I would recommend would be:
Traction control
18" tires
Heated seats if you need your bottom warmed
Litronics
Sport suspension package
Computer - if you like fidgeting the electronic do dads
electric seats would be nice
Expensive radio- I don't listen to it that much since I love the noise of the engine.
Carrera Alloys for your summer tires
A set of winter tires with their alloys.- Strongly recommend winter tires if it snows over there.
The rest of the garbage is decorative stuff that is up to you to decide if you want to spend your money on it.
Lots of luck and when you get the car you will enjoy it immensely. Good luck!

I went with 18" wheels, HI FI, Windstop, Heated Seats and Metallic Paint. I really haven't noticed anything I wish I would have ordered.
