Yeah I'm happy with the decision, I wouldn't have gotten anymore enjoyment out of spending 50% more on a S, the 2.5 already seems so incredibly fast, especially in 3rd gear from 65 to 85
I do get looks... LOTS of looks, it's a great feeling

The looks are great I am sure but my first was a bit weird. Stopped on way home from purchase at an autozone to pick up new wipers. A father and son stopped going in and just stood there staring at me like something was wrong. I got out and walked past them not a word until I went to leave and the were now inside looking out glass. All I heard was son to dad "That is awesome."
Made me feel odd until then, for the rest of the way home I was permagrin even behind a line of traffic going 60mph.
This is going to be the greatest ride I have ever owned.

weirdest one for me was when i stopped for gas. some woman was standing in the back of the car just looking, then she'd walk to the front (real close like she saw someone's arm sticking out of the radiator). finally walked back to the back again and i heard her mutter "boxster..."
then walked back to her husband who was pumping gas and said "i told you it wasn't a hyundai. it's made by boxster."
by the way, the best answer to the "where's the engine" question was posted by someone a while back. essentially they respond that it's like fred flintstone's car. there are holes in the floor where your feet go.

boxster worries
I had no idea what I was getting into when I bought a 2002 S. However with the forum being available to me I now know alot.Foremost no worries, this forum has allowed me to rest assured that there is nothing that cannot be adressed intelligently as well as cost effectively on this forum, I honestly think that if it was not for this forum the black box would be gone. Because of this forum I could tell Brumos Porsche what was wrong with the car when they could not. Mainly I am writing this to say a big thank-you.

Recently someone noticed my two trunks and asked if it was electric with the motors in the wheels. I just smiled and nodded
