2005+ 987 vs. 986 wheels

I can't seem to get a straight answer from Porsche- will the standard 2005 987, 17 inch wheels fit on the 2004 986 Boxster? I know the bolt pattern is the same- 130mm, the big question is the off set? Yet, I see lots of "other" Porsche factory wheels, 16" 17" 18" which are advertised to fit the 986- so what's the big difference in the 987 wheels? HELP!!!
