squeling brakes

i just replaced my brakes and rotors, with genuine porsche parts. however, they intermittently squel when braking. at the very end right before stopping. is this normal in the "break in" period? was i supposed to put antisquel lubrication on?

Yup, go to an automotive store get a bunch of lube and put a bunch on. As you have found the brakes on these cars are really easy to take on and off, should take a quick 30 mins to get them all set and squeal free!
Report back if it doesn't work.

+1 on installing anti-squeal. With the stock pads, that should cure it.

I'm not a fan of ...

... anti-squeal paste or pads.
Generally, brakes squeal because something is vibrating.
Many times it can be traced to a lose component.

Track pads do inherently squeal because they create more vibration due to their higher temperature and abrasive characteristics.

Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

On older cars I always use an anti-squel spray., it helps. Did you properly seat your brakes?
