Wow

I just drove through the hardest rainfall in my life. Florida and Louisiana have nothing compared to the down-pours of New Mexico! Cars were pulled over in both lanes; the water was at least 2" deep on the hill! I bet there was over 12" of rain fall within 10 minutes. The JägerMobile got a thorough cleaning top side and bottom side.

When I drive in rain, I have to slow down to 40-45mph because it feels like my car is hydroplaning at 50mph+. It always feels like it is steering itself away and like I am about to lose control of the car. I was thinking this happens since the front of the car is lighter. Tires are in great condition. I think they were new when I bought the car 9 months ago.

Is this feeling normal? Or is it safe to drive faster? This is in normal rain. Middle Speed setting for wipers.

Hey, ProjectM96, summer tires or all season? Also, check those little flaps in front of your wheels to make sure they're not beat up or just gone altogether like one of mine practically is. They hang down vertically in front of the tire, and they're there to try to lessen the amount of water getting into the wheel well and to the brakes. Just a thought. And stay away from the big puddles

I only notice the sensation you're talking about when I'm driving much faster than I should be in wet conditions.

Summer Tires. idk about the flaps. I will check when I get a chance. But I never had this problem with the car I drove before the Boxster, which was 500 lbs lighter and also had high performance summer tires.

You must be washing that car every day.

I don't even see a hint of brake dust on your wheels. So clean.

The down-pour in New Mexico did a fine job of cleaning the wheels.

Why do I have an image of Sally Carrera from the movie Cars after seeing this picture? Too much time in front of the TV with the grandkids, I need a road trip
