IMS Story. a HAPPY ONE !

Seeing my 01 S on this flatbed was actually a GOOD thing.
It meant it was on its way to get the LN Engineering IMS upgrade. I've owned
it for 2 1/2 years. Was a CPO car with 2 years/24K miles when I bought it. Bought
an extended warranty when it expired with the intent of getting the upgrade done
this summer. Last few months I did not enjoy driving it at all. I made the analogy
at one point it was as if someone was in the passenger seat holding a gun to my head.
Yeah I had the aftermarket warranty, but if the IMS caused the engine to go, I wasn't
looking forward to the inevitable war that was going to be waged in order for them to
cover it. I have AAA. I said I have the money now to get this done. With
my luck she woulda blew on the way to the Porsche Specialist. So what did I do ?
I had it flatbedded over there at no charge. Was this close. Wasn't gonna risk it now.
Happy to report she's done and back on the road and am back to enjoying driving it. Which is why I bought her in the 1st place !
