Yes.
Or you can remove the torx screws with any common needle-nose pliars match them up to proper phillips head replacement screws, and then deposit the silly torx screws neatly in the trash where they belong. Some day my car will be completely torx free.

Note to OP: To test the MAF you don't need to remove it. Just disconnect the wire connector and drive the car.

Well im waiting on a flat bed. Lost all power with rpm shooting way up. D and 4 flashing. I was driving across town to get it to the shop.

Update: It will be at the local Indy shop first thing in the morning. No night drop so the tow co is holding it overnight. I appreciate all the suggestions and ill update once I know what the issue is.

Sounds like it's in limp mode. As for the maf, I would change it. I had the same codes, minus the tranny code and it ended up being the maf. It was jerking and doing very similar things. Bought the tamper proof torx bit from autozone and it was a 5 minute repair.

Well its all bad. The MAF is bad but that's the least of the issues. Needs a transmission and torque converter. Also needs oil separator. I was quoted $3700 to install a used transmission with 60k miles on it and a new torque converter.

Hmmm, curious how they diagnosed it. A Tip is pretty reliable but they do fail. The key is what the fluid looked like. If it was still clean and clear I suspect the Tip is still serviceable. If it looked discolored and full of shiny bits the Tip is a goner. Might be worth asking.

They said the torque converted over heated and caused the transmission to fail or something like that. They did say something about visible pieces....
