Ipod connection to CDR-220?

Anyone done this? Is it possible to wire directly to the head unit or amp?

The FM transmitters apparently have very poor sound quality.

Becker do a kit that gives you AUX instead of the CD changer, as I understand it you can ONLY do this on the 220. Check their web site, it's about $16

Chris.

yes I did it. Becker has an office in New Jersey shipped in two days for $20.
quick installation, plugs into the back of the headunit.
I switch the stere plug(same size as your headphones) between my mini ipod and and my Sirius Plug and Play tuner.
Just remember to set the volume on the ipod on full volume while
the head unit is on the lowest volume. This will eliminate feedback or
alternator whine.

I just use a cassette tape adapter and pop the iPod into one of the cup holders, which holds it quite securely (mine is in a very cool iSkin case). The FM adapter made by Belkin is OK only if you're not moving since you'll soon lose whatever station you've latched on to.

Becker Web Site

Click on parts and call them. http://www.beckerautosound.com/ order the keys for removing the head unit while you're at it, they're only $2, or the may be in the Aux kit already. If you have any plans to power other devices you may want to get the $5 plug for tapping the phone power connector in the console too.
