roof rack for hardtop?

a few days ago I spotted a 986 boxster with a hard top with a bike rack mounted to it, but no ugly RTS frame, just four attatchments to roof, with two transverse rails and a longitudinal rail for bike. I hava a hard top that stays on most of the time, and would love to know where to get one of theese, rather than get an expensive and ugly RTS. does anyone know where to get one or who makes it?

did porsche make one?

aftermarket maybe?

will the 911 one work with any of the boxster hardtops?

it attatched where the trim strip/rain channel is.

Hi,was looking for 1 too.Found some peeps that had 911 hard tops and they just had them custum fitted bye a bike rack store in there area or do your self that would best fit the shape of the hardtop ,but they have to drill holes in the roof for the bolts to hold the rack on.

new one on me. I have the Willwood (hard to get) and previously had the Bird installed by Bird himself...too bad someone plowed into it.

In searching for an alternative I came across a company that sells these marine suction cups. http://www.seasucker.com/
Maybe whatever you are carrying can fit on the top. The company put two bikes on the top of a NASCAR stock car and went around a track. Didn't budge.

Go to a good bike rack shop and they can fit you with a Yakima or Thule rack. It's pretty simple.
