Detailing day
Stryke,
The weekend of August 13-14 will be no good for us. Son's wedding. |
Gonna be way before then. :)
|
OK, correction, we have set the official date for this event to Sunday 8/21/05. Here is the following information:
We will be closing down our shop for the day to outside customers. The cost to do this will be $99 per vehicle to cover all expenses below which will include the following: * Closing down the shop for the full day. * 2 passengers per vehicle. Any additional passengers are $15 each. * Food and drinks for all in attendance throughout the day. * Detailing chemicals and supplies to use and practice with. * Full day of detailing instruction and tips and techniques along with shortcuts. * Wet sanding, claying, compounding, polishing, glazing, waxing, buffing, maintenance schedules, engine detailing, dressing, supplies, costs, interior shampoo, leather care, the works. * I may have my detailing teacher, Doug, Master Detailer for over 20 years and full time training director for Gliptone Manufacturing attend. You will leave here knowing a full spectrum of why and how to detail a car, start to finish. We are limiting this to only 10 cars to allow for an intimate training session with hands on. We already have three solid cars confirmed and paid up. Please contact me for more info. We will have video made of this day and perhaps edit into a DVD. Call Gil at 718-556-7226 for more info or email me. :) |
Scratches
Would love to come down for detailing day, but too long a drive from
Toronto. Bought a 05 Artic Silver Boxster a few weeks ago. Loving it, but some nimrod at the golf course looks like he scratched his golf bag over the rear side of the car. Its not that deep, but would love some suggestions on how to get rid of the scratches. Do you need to buff it or is there another way. |
Come on, make a weekend in NY out of it. Not that bad of a drive. :)
|
Can't, going to a track day in Shannonville run by PCA on that weekend,
otherwise a drive thru the twisties of upper NY State sounds appealing. Any info on how to fix the scratches? |
Hmmmmm.
This may work for me if the wife gives me an ok. Only thing I'm having trouble working through is:

Where does one park their car when in NYC? |
We're not in Manhattan. We are in Staten Island, one of the five boroughs that make up NYC. Very suburban area. :)
