part Number needed.

Does anybody know the part numbers for the 996 x51 cast intake manifolds?

Jaay,

I have never been too sure about the x-51 designation and what it denotes. Of course many 986 parts have 996 designations. I have "intake distributors" listed as: 996 110 015 03 for M96.20
996 110 045 01 for M96.21/22 and M96.23/24

These would all be under a 986 parts list. You would likely need a proper 996 listing for your 3.4 and iteration

Perhaps this will lead you in the right direction if nothing else.

Anybody? My dealer looked at me like I took the short bus there when I asked today about them.

the cast intake distributors are
996.110.980.40 you need two

the intermediate manifolds are also ported
996.110.983.00, two of these are also required

All the parts for the performance kit are given in a TSB. You can get access to it if you are a contributing renntech member.

Todd

I talked to a few people today and it all seems unattainable. Do you have any suggestions?

Are these parts the same whether they are for a 3.4 or a 3.6 996 engine?

Regards, Maurice.

Mo. Stop snooping. :)

Those part numbers are the 3.6 parts. They would bolt onto any M96 motor. The 3.4X51 was not available in the US. It appears to use the same cast intake manifolds as the 3.6 x51 but I don't have part numbers to verify that.
