My car was purchased debadged. Old guys always stop and ask me what kind of car I'm driving when I pull into rest stops. Never fails. Every. Single. Time.

That's good!!!
But seeing as 'Mach Schnell' means 'Hurry Up', wouldn't it be better as a windsheild decal visor in a mirror image so that people could read it in their rear view mirror? Kind of like have AVO VOM on your front licence plate.

Just kidding! Anyways, you definately want to drive with badges among the sea of Pontiac Sunbirds, Chevy Aveos etc.
Same goes for chris97boxster (to some degree) in Edmonchuck.

aNYONE WHo knows the term saskabush ! has lived here... yeah we never get any respect from those that emigrant out...
i get about 8 months driving
i like to rub it in when ever i can, all the redneck construction and oil workers driving their hopped up pickmeups, i tell'em for that kind of money i bought the car and put money in the bank and still get 37mpg...
the latest news in canada (motoring 2011) is that pickup truck sales accounted for over 50% of sales in canada last year...

When I lived in Europe a few year ago, I read a non-Porsche specific article about the increasing number of requests for the debadging option in Europe.
In many cases it's not that people are trying to hide the fact that the car is a Porsche or BWM -- senseless as it is very obvious. What many are trying to do is manage/minimize the fact that they do not have the "deluxe" model of a certain car (i.e. Boxster v. Boxster S, Carrera v Carrera 4) etc...

I have a zeintop on my car and bought a 968-CS badge online and changed it to 986-S looks pretty cool-nobody knows what it is.

Feel free to debage however you like.
Personally, I have never really liked the "Boxster" name (its kind of a silly name for such a well performing car), so I simply put an aftermarket "986" badge on the rear trunk.

I grew up in Vancouver and went to college in Regina for two years and have relatives in Sask. Please tell our American friends how to pronounce Regina.
I would but I don't want to get kicked off the forum. I've been in California for 24 years now but I get back to the motherland occasionally.

That even sounds high for a Canadian gallon.

Thanks for the pics! I didn't know if it would fit but the badge looks good.
Nice engine bay on the bug. Faster than your Box?
Too bad we can't pop the hood on the Box to show a dressed up engine.

Thanks Baxster,
I wish the logo followed the curved contour better than straight across, but
I'll live with it.

sorry can't touch the pronunciation of the Queens last name even though it sounds like a feminine body part...
37mpg is steady highway speed more like 25 in the city.
we have funny nicknames for our citys/provinces, saskabush = saskatchewan, edmonchuck = edmonton, cowtown = calgary, hongcouver = vancouver, ...

Mark from Winterpeg here...
I de-badged my boxster because:
a) I like the cleaner look without the badge
b) I agree with the comment about it being a dumb name for the car
c) I got tired of trying to clean and wax around the badge
The badge is now stuck to the lid of my toolbox, where it looks much better.
I was parked at a burger stand in Carman, a small town just outside Winnipeg, and one of the locals came up to me and asked me if it was a Porch or a Ferrari.
I replied that it was a Porsh-a, because a Porch is that wooden deck in front of your house with the rocking chairs on it where your son sits and plays the banjo. I don't think she really understood.

ok, for the slow folks, it's pronounced (Re g eye na)
litteng or Mark, if you ever want to come and visit, may I suggest you go straight through Regina, down to the boarder town of Climax.
It's a liitle out of the way but well worth the journey.
ps, wait til summer. i hear Regina is frigid right now.

So you head south from the town that sounds like a female body to end up at Climax. Hmm. Only in the prairies.

At least I understand the P-car culture a little better now, so I guess debadging is no biggie.
