I have a 1998 Base with 130K. The engine and trans. are running very well. Over all the car is in great shape. We just got back from a 2500 mile road trip. I found a nice empty road in NV and got it up to 153. Steady and solid as a rock.

On our trip we bought a 2000 S with 48K miles. I have the twins in the garage. At the moment, I think the '98 is in just as a good condition as the 2000. To the unfamiliar eye, you can't tell them apart.

Not much help here...my '02 Box S broke the 19k mile barrier this fall before winter hibernation; I'll break into the twenties come late spring!

FWIW, I plan to replace the original water pump and look really hard at my IMS bearing if ANY foreign material finds its way to my sump.

87,000 on my '99. Running fine.

208,000 on a friends '98 with no problems. Though he did have a trans problem around 150K.

2000 2.7 with 215,000 kms in Canada

I have a 2000 2.7 daily driver...winter included. The car now has 215,000 kms and absolutely no problems. I change the oil every 5000-7000 kms and NEVER full load or over 3000 rpm until the operating temp has been reached. The car also sees the track a few times every summer... and sees upwards of 160km/hr every day...I race FF1600 as a hobby...

I absolutely love the Boxster//
