If your gonna play with those kind of stuff on your car, save yourself the stress and buy a durametric cable.. you'll be able to turn off the airbag light if something happen

Hi, I have been removing all the interior of my 97 boxster to change the rather dull grey into black. Part of this involved removing the seats . I removed the passenger seat without disconnecting the battery terminal and after completing the change of colour i have had no issues with warning lights. I don't know if this is of any use or if the drivers seat with bring any issues?

as long as the ignition is not engaged with the seat out you will be fine
