Mechanic recommendations in Germany?

I am very impressed with all I have read regarding Raby's rebuilds/upgrades. Does anyone know of a shop in Europe which does the same? I'm sure there are some, but it is a rare combination to find a good mechanic who speaks passable English
At a minimum, I would like to get an LN IMS Bearing, and replace the RMS at the same time.

LN Engineering has list of vendors that perform the IMSR. I briefly scanned the list and saw a few in Europe.

If all you want is the IMS and RMS

that is one question. But when you read about what Jake does when he does the IMSR, it isn't simple and it isn't cheap. He first diagnoses the engine to see if it is in good enough shape for it to be worth his while to do the IMSR. Then he road tests the car personally after the IMSR is done.

The next step up is what he calls a cpo which involves both improvements and prophylactic replacements but which is not a complete rebuild and which doesn't cost like it nor is it warranted like one. But it does include the IMSR and a RMSR.

Then there is the complete rebuild at same size or larger size with even more goodies and that can hit the stratosphere in cost.

Be sure what you want when you ask the shop what they can do for you and the price.

There are shops in the UK that do somethings similar, though not with the same parts. They would speak English...or at least a version of it . Might ask at boxa.net which is a UK forum.

Thanks

Thanks, I will check that site out too. I would love to have a complete upgrade, Have read the details about what he replaces. My budget can only handle the IMS, RMS. Seems like that should cover the majority of potential blown engines. I am hoping that will be enough to keep this one on the road until I am too old to drive it.

I know how prices can add up. I had an RX-7 rebuilt in Japan which started at 2500$ and ended up closer to $7000! Nice engine, though, once someone helped me from the floor.

BTW, I think I told you on PPBB, not sure. Your advice and info were the deciding factor when I bought my car a few months ago. (Don't worry, I won't hunt you down if it gets expensive!)
