Not really.
I had a PPI done by an indy mechanic, had service records from day one and a couple times spoke with the dealer that sold and service the car. IMO due diligence can go a long way to providing a good "sight unseen" purchase experience.

Does anyone know a good PPI in the Eastern Mass, Southern NH region?

I bought a 2000 with 78k miles for $12,500 3 weeks ago. Ya, I know I took a gamble but so far so good. I don't mind putting repair money into it because I have no car payment. I looked closely at some newer Boxsters but I would have had to get a loan. As long as it doesn't die in one big puff of smoke I think I won the gamble.
