The 914 and 924 were designed to be VWs. The 944 and 968 are just updates of the 924.

I guess the 928 has pop-ups but they are clearly trying to hide the fact that they pop-up. It still looks like a proper Porsche. The slantnose 911 has pop-ups for sure, but that represents a low point in Porsche design where Porsche bastardized their own design to cater to a trend.

What about headlights from 2001-2004 911 (996 ver2) can you fit them on Boxster?

I like them more then 987 headlights and they look more polished then 986

Thanks
Sasha

All flip-up Porsches, none-the-less. Unless you consider only the 356 and 911 to be "true" Porsches, in which case I don't know why you'd own a Boxster.

I wouldn't say pop-ups were a fad. They were a legitimate design feature to meet headlight minimum height requirements, while maintaining aerodynamic and styling needs of low slung sports cars.

That need has mostly been made obsolete since the development of newer style headlights that don't require the large parabolic mirrors of past years.

How about these headlights. IMHO they are gorgeous and the best of all worlds for a 986
