Ac Problem

Hi Everyone,

I just got my Boxster back from the shop, after being rear ended a few weeks ago. Luckily, it was nothing major (a slow speed fender-bender), I ended up with a new rear bumper and passenger taillight. (And I now have painted bumperettes!)

Unfortunately, I have a an unrelated problem with my AC. The AC is fully functional, but when I turn the air above 3-4 bars, the fan/blower in the passenger side dash can be heard, and it sounds like a lawnmower with something caught in it. It started after I turned it on yesterday and heard a screatch for a split second.

Any thought on what this may be? My best guess is that the blower/fan needs to be replaced? Is it something I can easily DIY? Will it get any worse with time?

Thanks!
