Strange startup sound

So my car has started a new trend. It likes to make a funny noise at start-up. it sounds like a mixture of a grinding and screeching. it happens right after the car starts for at most half a second. then it stops and the car runs and sounds normal. and since my latest maintenance (60K) the car actually runs better!

This noise started before the service so that is out. I dont believe it is a belt which im changing soon. it could be the starter... maybe it isnt disengaging fast enough so it grinds? im not sure. ill try to get a soundclip. later

also it doesnt always happen maybe 75% of the time.

The Bendix drive on your starter is sticking; pull the starter, clean the Bendix drive and lubricate it with some white lithium grease, problem solved...............

This is a common complaint on these cars.
