Let me preface this by saying, I have no interest in drawing fire here. I don't post much, but I read a LOT. I've learned so much valuable information in this forum that has helped me immensely with my box. Any issues that ever come up, I come here and Rennlist first before I do anything. Consequently, I generally trust most guys that take the time to post have a legitimate opinion that has come about via an experience and is therefore worth while to share.
That said, if you run staggered fitment, the Falken warranty is void. Period. After a week and a half of runarounds, from a Falken rep's lips to my ears, there is no warranty if you a running staggered fitment. The warranty only applies to tires that can be regularly rotated. I am speaking from experience here. I did finally get some reimbursement in my situation but from tire kingdom, who in turn pursued Falken after the fact. If Falken's policy has since changed, I am unaware of it. Consequently, I'll never buy 912's again. Ever.
However, I must admit, I'm super curious about the FK452's Banana S has been running. Man, if he's gotten even 10k out of them with track use in there as well, they seem like they may be well worth the money.

It's not just Falken, many if not all tire companies will not offer the xxx,000 miles guarantee unless you do regular tire rotation every 5000 miles which 95% of the people out there never do even if the tire sizes are the same.
Then again, why is the guarantee/warranty important for a tire, it's only useful if there's a defect on a tire which is unlikely to happen. Mileage guarantee also goes out the door as soon as you go on the track or auto-x event.

I don't understand why people only get 10K miles out of a set of tires. Granted, I've only had my Boxster S for three months, but based on what I can tell these RE050As should last 15K to 20K miles. Plus, I've got three four track days on them already.
FWIW, I run zero toe all around and have maxed negative camber on an otherwise stock car.

Everyone here has a different driving style.
Some people's driving styles are easier on tires than other people's driving styles.
When and where you drive, the road surfaces, road temperatures, tire pressures, and lots of other things can affect longevity of the tires.
Since you and I both live here in Colorado, just a couple of towns apart from each other, we could have a closer comparison, than us trying to compare to someone in Maine, Las Vegas, or Toronto and their tire wear.
Also, I've done several track days at HPR on my tires, and I'm not sure if you're taken your car out there yet. If you haven't, then our wear can't be compared against each other at all.

I wouldn't buy them again. They aren't terrible at anything, but aren't great either. Probably not a bad tire for the budget minded.

Continental Sport contact 2 N2
I have an 03 Boxster it had Pilot Sport PS2 on all 4 the right rear got punctured and as a emergecy and because in the area I was it was the only tire available for the rear. Primwell 255/40ZR17 94w not porrshe rated. IT was louder than the original but even with the tread mismatch it did not up set the car cornering. Yesterday I finally got all four the same. I installed Continental Sport contact 2 N2. they are auwful and I'm changing back to the Pilot Sport PS2 as soon as possible. Unless some one has a better option they know really handles better.

BC, you make some good points. I have two track days so far at HPR. However, to say, "If you haven't (done several track days at HPR), then our wear can't be compared against each other at all" is a bit of a stretch. That track is easier on tires than Pueblo IMO. Additionally, I likely drive more than you. Also, I don't know a whole lot of people that drive harder within legal limits than I.
