New (almost) Boxster Owner

Hi,

I take delivery of a brand new 987 Boxster S in about 4 weeks time (time is slowing down, or at least it feels like it!), though I'd better join a forum and get the low down! I take it that 987 owners will be welcome on the 986 forum???

I am completely new to Porsche ownership, trading in my much loved Civic Type r, which is very fast but a little too thrashy and tiresome at times, and of course not a convertible.

I took the 987 out for a drive after the Honda S2000 and was hooked immediately, nothing touches it for handling or comfort (it's actually quieter at 100 than my fixed roof civic!), I originally ordered the boxster but after beating a friend in his 986 boxster (not s) a few times in my civic, my ego made me upgrade to the 'S', sad but necessary for mental well being!

Here's to another 4 weeks looking at the brochure.......
