I have the same wheels on my 97. You dont see many with the chrome and that is why I like the look.

I would like to see it have the wider stance in the rear like you mentioned. Let me know what you find out.

Wow! Great to get so much information. I had no idea that i shouldn't go above a 17". I didn't plan to as i figure Porsche put this size wheel on this vehicle for specific reasons.

Lil Bastard--

Yes, they are genuine porsche wheels. No, widening the back has no "bling " effect:

1. bling
Jamaican slang that has been adopted by some African American rappers and inserted into popular culture. The term "Bling Bling" refers to the imaginary "sound" that is produced from light reflected by a diamond.

"Bling" is all about shine. Now that thats handled, it sounds like the spacers are the way to go. Im doin' it . Id love to get some genuine porsche wheels powder coated black...has anyone done this on my color vehicle? Thanks guys for all the help.

As mentioned before your wheels are OEM 17” Boxster twists.

The 18” Turbo wheels (also twist style) were available in both solid and hollow spoke, and fist appeared on the 993 then the 996 & 986.

I have the 18” 5 spoke Carrera lightweight wheels on my ’97 Boxster and have not run any problems driving on the street. My mention of the issue was just to give you a heads up.
