Help Please - Brakes or IMS?

so i think i have a brake issue, but let's see.

first a picture



yes, i had to get a tow. i changed the oil today and decided to go for a drive - 70 miles round trip. i went to gettysburg. exiting the highway i pressed the brake pedal and heard a fwap-fwap-fwap noise coming from the rear driver's side but it was only momentary and i thought it was the road. on my way back home i pressed the brake again doing about 70 and when i got down to around 60 it was back - fwapfwapfwapfwap... until i hit 50 and then it stopped. i pulled over to a rest stop and looked under the car - nothing unusual no leaks, etc.

i get back on the highway and no noise. then i thought - what the hell - and pressed the brake again, nothing. i was doing about 50 at the time. so i sped back up and when i got to 70 i pressed the brake again. noise was back - fwapfwapfwafwapfwap. i stopped, looked at the tires because it really sounded like a chunk of tire was hitting the wheel well. they were fine. get back on the road go maybe 10-15 miles, have to brake because of a slower car and the noise comes back. but this time when i let off the brake it doesn't stop. fwapfwapfwapfwap.

i again pull to a stop - the whole time fwapfwapfwap..fwap....fwap....fwapping away. look - nothing i can see. as i was pulling away i pulled up on the emergency brake and about half-way up i heard a very loud pop. i noticed i could "feel" the fwapping in the emergency brake handle.

i pulled out the video camera and recorded the noise.

something to note - it definitely seems get faster the faster the tires rotate. standing still no noise, if i rev the engine no noise, only when i'm in motion.

first video is no noise, then i press the brake for a few seconds @ about 50 seconds in...

any thoughts? there are no lights on the dash - brake, CEL, or otherwise.
