Might make you feel better to know that the water pump body (no guts in it, just the body) for my Ferrari F355 is $2,635.

After spending too much time looking at Ferrari parts ($7,000 headers), suddenly Boxster parts seem cheap. Oh, and I'm pretty sure the engine has to come out of the 355 to change the water pump.
