You should be able to reset your air bag light with your Durametric assuming there is no pending fault. The typical fault is a bad ground in one of the seat belt receptacles.

The oil level check countdown clock on the 986 is a timer that signals a short waiting period before the electronic oil level gauge will give a reading. I think it’s approximately 5 seconds on a cold engine and about 5 minutes for an engine that has just been shut down.

The older 986's have a well documented problem with the seat belt buckles that causes the air bag light to trip. You need to search for the TSB that details the fix............
