Nice. My favorite color for a Boxster too. What better way to buy a car than to make an adventure of it all. What's with the rack you put on the back? It doesn't look like it was used at all on the trip. License plate frame says Carlson, so it must have come from here in Northern CA

How did registration go once you got it back to CO? I've heard stories about California's paperless system making it hard to register cars in another state.

Wow, you did the return trip in grand scale, not a better way to enjoy your Box than the way you drove it home. Car looks great.

Enjoy

Thanks, guys. Picked it up in San Mateo, just south of San Francisco. So far I just have temp tags, but no problems with registration just yet.
Info on the rack can be found here:

It's not perfect, but probably the best option. We stopped by the guy's place to pick it up and install it. Seeing he fabbed it himself, I wanted to ensure it went together as advertised. He lived an hour off our regular route, so I figured it was worth it. Nice driving side roads through zinfandel country, too.

BTW. A friend of mine was selling a 951 about two weeks ago and he said a guy from Colorado came by to look at it. Was that you?

Nope. Many friends race 944s but it wasn't me.
