The Gopro is a great camera for this. I like the wheel view too.

I just got a GoPro Hero and use it for when I go quading: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NO0fts11E3g

When I'm autocrossing, I use MaxQData. Here's a run from 2009 SCCA Nationals:

I use the MaxQData because it has useful information, check out a video with data overlay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ys78llwQnA

Launch hard-you can cover the first 100 feet half a second quicker than most other cars if you can get a good launch. On a grippy surface I can launch at up to 5000 rpm without much wheelspin. I experimented with launch and shift rpms and the higher you can launch without the tires going up in smoke, the quicker you will be. Shifting just before redline is quicker, too. I have a base 2004 Boxster so things may be different for an S.
