Clean Alluminium tape in wheel

Hi, I just removed the wheel of my new (to me) boxsterS2006, there is a bunch of old aluminum tape inside the wheel. (used to fix weight to balance the weel I guess). Anyone have a good suggestion about how to clean that up without scratching the wheel?

My guess is with a plastic screeper and a heat gun but maybe some have a better idea to save my time and energy..

Thanks
