Engine Compartment Purge Fan Test

Is there an easy way to test the Engine Compartment Purge Fan?

Can I disconnect/unplug it and just put 12 Volts (DC) onto it to see if it works?

Or, can I just use a heat gun/hair dryer on the sensor?

Also, does anyone have a picture of the sensor and its location?

Thanks,
Mark

Drive links version of a PIWIS or durametrics can turn it on and off if you have someone nearby that has either of those.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to a Drive links version of a PIWIS or a Durametrics unit.
