Cigarrete lighter replacement question

Is there a way to install a bigger (deeper) cigarette lighter in a boxster?

I got my zune in the car.. and surprize surprize.. the charger is too big for my lighter..
It only goes in by half length.. and falls down if I accelerate or brake.

Is there a way to install a deeper lighter? does anyone have same problem?

Thanks
Sasha

By changing out your lighter it seems like you're doing things backward. Your Zune probably uses a universal lighter adaptor. Why not try to find another one that's not so deep? I bet Radio Shack's got a number to choose from. This seems like the path of least resistance.

The new lighter socket is actually smaller in diameter than the old original versions. I installed the newer one and a number of my plugs can no longer fit into it. Regret even changing it out.

Boxsters are for "Zoom", not "Zune"...

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I got the same problem. The socket is just too shallow.

apparently the 02+ have a new one w/ deeper socket. Is there a story behind this or is it purely a bad design?

Is there an online site to order porsche besides dc automotive? I keep hearing sunset porsche but it came up nothing. any recommendation?
