Thumbs up Latest Cayman spy pics.

Here are some large spy pics of the Cayman that are a little less disguised. Note that the back hatch still has some kind of fake covering. However, if you look closely you'll see that the glas windown drops down below the fake cover. Also, the two buttresses that have been on other test mules to make it look like a 911 are gone. Can't wait to see what they did to the rear. I've heard nothing but rave reviews from people that have been to the focus group and seen the final product.

Items I have read in the British auto press indicate a UK price of circa-50,000 pounds, at the current exchange rate that would be over $90,000US. This is projected for the Cayman S, the 3.4 liter 295hp job.
The std. Cayman, to be released later, presumed to be with the 3.2 liter engine from the Box, is to sell in the UK for about 42,000 pounds, which would still be over $77,000US. Maybe these prices are projected with the VAT.
I think these prices are not likely to hold up in the US, where the 911 starts at about $77,000. What I have heard other places is that the US price will be around $65,000, whether this is for the S or the later std. model I'm not sure.
Incidentally, the internal model number is supposed to be "C7S" for the S.

That is a lot of dough. I can buy a c6 Corvette for about $48,500 with 400 HP. Hmm.

Does this pricing make sense to the rest of you guys?

AUTOMOBILE Magazine's lastest blurb (May 2005, pg.26) mentioned $60k. Juicy pic of a red one too. Yummmmm.

60K sound much more like it would sell. I think you can buy a stripper 911 coupe for about $70K?
