I have the same car. Boxster Red interior
The front panels are leather and the backing/sides is vinyl stuff. Full leather is an option.
I use two products for the leather seats. 1Z leather care and Lexol conditioner.
I would give both of these a shot they should mask the scratch. If its still noticeable I would take to an interiors shop before it becomes a tear and you have to replace the panel.
Very important to keep the leather soft year round. I start the car up let it warm up and apply the lexol every 8 weeks or so to avoid the tell-tale too dry leather cracking signs.
