Dealer dreams...

I ran a search on P-dealers for the 01-S. ...to see if the deal I got was holding up under the pressure of 05's on top of closeout 04's... No fear, if the following is an indicator...

A dealer in TN has an 01-S...very nice Black on Black...with little use: 2300mi. It does not have PSM or Litroinics, but has electric memory seats.

However what makes it most memorable is the ask: $56,995.

Holy Crap, Batman!

I'd buy an 05 987 S base model before I'd do that! You should call him and ask him if he has any extra pot he wants to sell. Lord knows he's been smoking it!

Q: I believe PSM is std. on the 05 because it is on the upper lists with standard equiptment, not sure about Litronics (new name for 05, eh?)

... but you have to do a bit of a placer mining to find such nuggets among the 01's

It's a lecture that needs to be repeated: well optioned cars are no more expensive than base models with sport packages. Virtually, no dealer - outside our host and P-dealers - have a clue about the little paper tag under the front hood and the meaning of those three digit codes.

Happy hunting to those of you still looking.
