Should I remove the complete soft-top?

I have a 01 S and my current soft top is ripped and instead of buying a new one I bought a hardtop for it. This is not a daily driver and only is driven on sunny days. I wanted to know if it’s worth removing to shave off some weight? Also how much would the complete top weigh. And if I do remove it, would there be any unforeseen regrets?

Thanks

You know how to make it rain don't you? Drive with no hardtop and no soft top. Unless you live in SoCal a ripped top is better than no top at all for those days you tempt fate.
