Should I remove the complete soft-top?

I have a 01 S and my current soft top is ripped and instead of buying a new one I bought a hardtop for it. This is not a daily driver and only is driven on sunny days. I wanted to know if itís worth removing to shave off some weight? Also how much would the complete top weigh. And if I do remove it, would there be any unforeseen regrets?

You know how to make it rain don't you? Drive with no hardtop and no soft top. Unless you live in SoCal a ripped top is better than no top at all for those days you tempt fate.
