You can get the bumper fairly cheap, but it came as an assembly that included the rest of the car!!

Doesn't anyone make a tasteful, stock-looking 986-to-987 front conversion? The scoops [and even the Cayman eyeglasses-type fog lights] are too ricey for me.

With a few custom-made parts, it shouldn't be necessary to change the fenders. Headlights and a bumper cover with 987-boxster type fog lights [as on quickurt's car, below] would do it! There would be a lot of demand for it, thousands of kits could be sold.

If the 987 look is what you're after, just buy one...they're awfully inexpensive these days.

I could see 986 to 996 (2002-2004) conversion.

But 986 to 997 is just silly to me. I've never been a fan of round headlights or VW Bugs. Take that conversion money and buy a nice 928, 968 or 944.
