We had spoken to Roock quite some time ago about our upgrades to 'beef-up' the M96 and nothing ever came out of it, so I'm sure the drive-train is bone stock. Like most tuners, it's body kits and bolt ons.

No offense meant Charles but if you even bothered to read the first post.... it has a 3.6 in it. That is not stock for a boxster. Now if youve had problems with Roock or you do not like them for whatever reason this this thread wasnt started by Jacabean for shortsighted opinions.

I'm beginning to wonder if this whole IMS failure thing is made up?

If you read what Charles meant, it has a factory 3.6 in it; that means it's subject to all the common failures associated with the M96 design. It wasn't a knock against Roock...just that there are no performance or preventative measures built into the engine.

Looks like a nice car...hope you got a good deal and can put the extra money into IMS upgrades.

Speaking of shortsighted opinions "bone stock" meaning unmodified which it sounds like this engine is regardless of it's current location.

I do believe the 3.6 is a stock engine

I like the aerokit on it. I wouldn't mind seeing some more pics! Nice find at a nice price. Congrats!

My apologies, I took what Charles was saying as they only took the car and slapped some bodykit on it and other odds and ends and did nothing performance wise from the base car it started as.

Yeah. Charles gave the politically correct version of what I would have said.

You'll never see a Flat 6 component associated with Roock.
