Now that it's time to sell my Boxster ($$ needed to pay down debt incurred for my '07 987), I'm appreciating its curves and fun factor more than ever.
Re.: the Porsche brotherhood, had two experiences this year. First, in PA last month, I flashed a posse of about twelve 911s rapidly going the opposite way, and only a few flashed back. C'mon guys, no love for a Box?
On the other hand ... this summer, while driving through an exclusive area of Long Island, on a long roadway lined with gated estates, a middle-aged guy unable to hold it any longer, I decide to park the Box on the shoulder while I went behind a tree.
While I was still doing my business, an SUV pulled over right next to me and my tree. Annoyed for the interruption of my semi-privacy, I thought, what does this guy want, to tell me I'm trespassing? I looked over, and it was a friendly Cayenne owner just checking on a fellow Porsche person!
He had actually done a U-turn to see if I was OK!
