Outcome of ext. warrenty and IMS repair

Well after waiting about a month for the company to drag thier feet, the ruling finally came back.

They will pay for the IMS repair at Jake's shop. The company I have is listed as a A+ company and "they pride themselves on fast and effecient claim service" however the experience was anything but.

They did pay for the IMS retrofit, which takes care of the clutch labor cost, So the clutch cost was just parts. They also payed for a few other things like motor mount and such.

The moral of the story is that if you have an extended warrenty and fear the IMS, then ship the car to flat six and let them do the clutch at the same time.

Congrats on the good result. You did better on getting stuff paid for than I thought you would have.

Happy motoring with the solid repairs done!

That's great to hear!

I have two follow up questions for you:

Did Jake have to jump through any hoops in order to present evidence to them, or anything else along those lines?

What is the warrantee company name?

And if Jake is watching, what was his opinion of dealing with the warrantee company from his perspective? Would he feel fine getting more business through their customers, or would he rather not ever have to go through that again?

Thanks,

BC.
