coolant tank sensor 99 box

I jast wanted to know if it is possible to pop out the coolant tank sensor without pulling the tank. I would like to replace the o ring or rubber washer to prevent leak. I dont want to snap it so what is the proper procedure which way to turn etc. I can only find info on total tank R and R.

If it's not leaking, why replace the 'o' ring? There's little likelyhood of it ever leaking - it's not a known issue. Save the 'o' ring for when, or if, it ever does leak.
