I like it, but I'm biased...I have a similar winglet on my '02 S.

I like it, too. It's subtle, not ostentatious. But I'm also biased. My LE came with the Cayman ducktail spoiler.

Might want to do some research on this model. Some members have replaced their spoilers with filberglass spoilers sold on ebay and not long after installation they cracked where the posts meet the spoiler. Not sure what "GPR Material" is.

GRP = Glass Reinforced Plastic..... but this may not be fiberglass.
Many plastics are glass reinforced: Polysytrene, Polycarbons, Polyethalins (I'm sure I've misspelled these).

The type of plastic determines how you have to paint/prep it... alcohol wipe, adhesion promoter, base coat, top coat. Hate to spend the money and then watch your paint job peel off going down the highway.

GRP is fiberglass, period.

It is glass fibers setup in a resin (Plastic). And here is where the variations occur - the Plastic. There may be other names in common usage to distinguish between them all, but it's all still fiberglass.

You are quite right about differing paint methods depending on the plastic which is used, and let's not forget that many parts are also made with a topcoat of an entirely different material such as, perhaps the most popular, - Gel Coat.
